The hubs and I had a weekend getaway to Highlands, NC last weekend. There's nothing better than only having to drive two hours from home to see beautiful mountains. It's such a quaint town that exudes relaxation. So relaxed we did. Oh, and shopped. But y'all can guess I would say that, right??!!
Since we went last year, I knew the cute boutiques they had - and it was inevitable that I would be trying on clothes. I must say that even though I layered up because of the cold, I became quite the magician taking the button up and sweater off and on at one time. Just call me Emidini.

I love to dress up. And I take every opportunity I can to take full advantage of it, especially when we go out to dinner. I had purchased both of these dresses at Von Maur on super duper clearance. The navy dress - originally $198. Purchase price - $44. The striped dress - originally $98. Purchase price - $24. Uh, basically free, right?! As my friend Amber taught me, it's not how much you spend, it's how much you saved!

And in case you wanted to see just how pretty Highlands is...here's a little peak! We stayed at a wonderful B&B called the Inn at Half Mile Farm. HIGHLY recommend it!!!!
