My New Dress Code

- Lizzy

The idea of this blog came to Emily and me almost a year ago.  A year ago I was pregnant with a 2-year old running around.  Now that I have a 3-year old and a 10-month old toddler (yes, toddler - Ava is walking up a storm), I don't have as much time to spend working on my blogs or reading books or doing things that I really want to do.  It was so much easier when Ava slept.  And Ava slept a lot... her first two months were a breeze.  She slept all the time!

Those of you who have made the transition to staying-at-home have probably gone through this... but lately it seems that I'm struggling a little with my new career (especially with Ava's new accomplishment of walking).  How do you find time to do everything?  I'm not trying to be super mom... I just want to care for my girls, teach them to be loving, kind and respectful, and get dinner on the table!  Sometimes it feels like I was more successful at all of this when I worked full time!

Speaking of working full time... I've been drooling over this floral dress from Ann Taylor LOFT.  This would definitely be something I would wear if I had to report to an office everyday, but for some reason all the arrows keep pointing to this maxi.  I wonder why?  This new career has a completely different dress code!  (Please note... the model is barefoot.  That's just how I like it... I don't miss wearing heels even a tiny bit ;)

  1. The only way I survive is by having a schedule. I have certain cleaning projects each day. I get a lot done when my youngest(15months) is taking his morning nap. My oldest(2 1/2) will either play quietly, watch a movie, or help me clean. Then as soon as I get my daily chore done the of the day is for the kiddos.

    1. Thanks for the tip! I really need to remember that the reason I'm staying home is the kiddos! They deserve the most attention.
